Cashion Garden
Lou Cashion Memorial Garden
The Cashion Garden was established in 1999 in remembrance of Mrs. Lou Cashion. Mrs. Cashion was an avid gardener in the Bryan/College Station area, and had an outstanding cottage garden and landscape around her home. Many of the plants and structural elements in her garden were brought from the original Cashion garden to our Gardens. They were used to develop this site and to recreate her garden in a different location. The fence, gates and trellises are just some of the items that made Mrs. Cashion’s garden so unique. We have tried to maintain the same types of plants that were in her garden such as Irises, herbs and roses. A small vineyard, located directly behind the Cashion Garden, helps serve as a buffer between the Gardens and the TAMU Children’s Center.
